Welcome to QSI International School of Suriname! 

QSI Suriname is part of the Quality Schools International (QSI) network, which includes 37 schools across 30 countries. QSI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving internationally mobile families by providing a high-quality, research-based education alongside the development of essential life skills through our Empower program. All QSI schools are accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) and serve students from kindergarten through secondary levels, including expatriate, international business, and local communities. 

At QSI Suriname, we embrace a mastery-based learning model. This approach supports students in developing a deep understanding of their studies, while our small class sizes allow teachers to give individualized attention and tailor instruction to meet each student’s needs. In addition, we focus on educating the whole child; we intentionally teach and reinforce our Success Orientations (SOs) throughout the classroom and school. These include Trustworthiness, Responsibility, Aesthetic Appreciation, Concern for Others, Kindness and Politeness, Independent Endeavor, and Group Interaction. We firmly believe that every student can succeed when provided with the right support and environment. 

Beyond academics, QSI Suriname fosters a strong sense of community and belonging. We value partnerships with families and believe that collaboration between home and school is key to student success. Through school events, service opportunities, and extracurricular activities, students are encouraged to develop leadership skills, build relationships, and contribute positively to their community.
