About Us
QSI International School of Suriname, a nonprofit school, offers high-quality education in the English language for elementary through secondary students. We provide our services for expatriate families from the diplomatic, international business, and local communities.
Academic Program
The academic program uses a Performance-Based/Mastery Learning approach to education. This model assures mastery of specific skills and knowledge involving both individual and group instruction. The educational philosophy is founded upon the premises that:
1) All students can succeed.
2) Success breeds success.
3) It is the responsibility of the school to provide the conditions for success.
Facility
QSI International School of Suriname offers a purpose-built facility featuring large air- conditioned classrooms, a large library, computer lab, science lab, and a music room. We also have a large covered area that serves as both an outdoor dining space as well as a covered gym. We have playground space for both preschool and elementary aged students and an athletic field. Students utilize a swimming pool adjacent to the school.
